Business is fine – I don’t need a business coach!
If this is you, then perhaps reading this will make you reconsider.
Sitting with a client recently we discussed progress achieved in the previous six months.
When we first met, business was going well but the client knew there was potential to achieve much more but was struggling to understand the way forward.
The first activity undertaken was to define the short, medium and longer term goals for their business. Converting unclear aspirations into real quantifiable targets to be achieved.
Following on from this we discussed the potential obstacles and challenges preventing positive progress towards achieving them. This unlocked the underlying issues holding the business back.
We agreed the activities to address these issues identifying who would be responsible and a timescale for completion.
Although it was not a complete surprise, the client now understood the benefits to be gained and had the confidence to carry out what needed to be done.
The client is now updating their goals based on the current, much improved business profile.
Feedback received was very clear that having an external pair of eyes with a broad range of experience and knowledge looking at the business provided the critical view that the client was missing, being restricted being too much within the business.
So, if you think things couldn’t be any better, perhaps having an external perspective might just be what you need to exploit, and kick start new business opportunities.
Let’s have a chat to explore how you can identify and exploit further potential in your business.
